Just an FYI on why all of the pictures on our blog from this point forward will have a large black splotch (is that a real word?) on the top left corner of each picture....
I was going through the pics on the camera last night and noticed we had one photo of our kitchen floor. The previous picture to the kitchen floor picture did not have the big black splotch. Every picture since the kitchen floor picture now has the big black splotch. I have watched just enough CSI to determine that someone in our family dropped the camera, taking a photo of the floor and breaking something internally in the device. So, until I decide to buck up for a new digital camera, please enjoy the splotch. I know I will. Regards. Sam

My first blog...and Fall 2009!
Okay, so I begged Sam to get this set up for me... and then I never posted. I always harass my girlfriends for not updating their blogs. So, I have now gotten the harassment back. So... Tonight, I will post.
My main reason for starting the blog was so that I can print it off, and include it in my kids baby books. Makes it easy, right?!?! And because I enjoy reading my friends so much, that I thought I should try to humor them. Probably not, but I will try.
Fall got off to an interesting start.... Below is the first picture on our camera from the first of October. It should have been the group picture of Luke's soccer team, but the game was cancelled for obvious reasons. It was the last game of the year, so it made the season shorter than Luke would have liked.... but he had a great time, made great friends and looks forward to playing again in the fall.

I spent a fun girls weekend in Scottsdale with my college friends and we had a great time.. relaxing and catching up. It was so great to see them all, and spend some quality time without the distractions(ie kids)of our current lives. Below is a pic of the ladies and the HHR! Oh the memories....brings me back....

Returned from Scottsdale, and spent a day with Luke and his class at the pumpkin patch! Fun was had by all... and we had a great day... despite the above referenced fall weather. I was even lucky enough to chaperone a group of 5 boys! Luckily, I had two other moms to help. Believe me, it was needed.

Tonight I finished the final details/plans of the the snack/craft for both Luke & Maggie's Halloween parties! I am excited to be able to help out with both! I am the room coordinator for Luke's kindergarten class this year, which allows me to be able to participate and plan all the fun for him this year! To kickoff Halloween week... we attended "Trunk or Treat" up at church on Sunday with cousins... and Momo/Popo because they will be in Florida for the real deal. Then Sam and I had everyone over for some delicious chicken chili. Monday was an ACTUAL gorgeous fall day, so the kids and I went to an ACTUAL pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins... so we can carve with daddy on Friday.... When I say actual patch, truly that is what it was.- A huge patch of pumpkins... (nothing else!) and we combed through them... and each kid found their perfect one. Not to mention, the price was right! $6.00 for three great pumpkins and no cost of admission... I will not disclose the location in fear it will turn into the "disneylike" patches that exist today. I am not saying those are not fun, it is just different! Stay tuned for pictures of the carvings....

Our First Blog!!
Bridget said she wanted a blog to keep up with all her friends having blogs and she even asked me "what's blog mean" so I set this up. It took about 5 minutes. I think she will begin posting some info, pictures, updates and other blog material. I will try to do the same and keep it worth reading once in a while.
